With a Master's degree in Rural Economics and Agricultural Policy, I have developed expertise in agricultural technological innovations, climate change, and the agroecological transition. My career has been rooted in applied research focused on the transformation of agricultural and food systems, with a particular emphasis on sustainability and resilience. My experience at ISRA/BAME (Senegalese Institute for Agricultural Research – Bureau of Macroeconomic Analysis) allowed me to strengthen my skills in collecting, processing, and analyzing socio-economic data in rural areas. My work focuses on the determinants of the adoption and diffusion of agricultural innovations, as well as the conditions that promote their scaling up. I am particularly interested in improved millet varieties and the socio-economic factors influencing their adoption by farms. I am also interested in agricultural policies, support mechanisms for producers, and systems that promote agricultural adaptation to climate change. Within the framework of the APIICC project, conducted in collaboration with CIRAD and ISRA-BAME, I contributed to the analysis of procedural instruments for climate governance and their articulation with agricultural policies. This experience strengthened my skills in institutional analysis, climate governance, and the study of interactions between actors. My profile thus lies at the interface between agricultural economics, innovation, public policy, climate governance, and the agroecological transition.
