Maxime Pailler

Postdoctoral Researcher, Sciences Po Rennes (TMAP Chair) | APIICC Project: fieldwork in France

He is a postdoctoral researcher (Sciences Po Rennes, TMAP Chair) and landscape designer. His research focuses on local climate governance in Great Britain, analyzing how institutions and public policy instruments structure cooperation, implementation, and concrete transformations on the ground. He has already conducted 32 interviews and field surveys in collaboration with local authorities and various stakeholders. He contributes to the ANR APIICC project, which directly addresses a key challenge observed in the field: how to accelerate climate action while strengthening long-term governance capacities, accountability, and learning processes through innovative procedural instruments. He brings solid field expertise in France, as well as a spatial and territorial perspective on public policies, particularly in the areas of agriculture, agricultural production, energy, water, biodiversity, and value chains.
