A lecturer in political science at Sciences Po Bordeaux and a researcher at LAM (Les Afriques dans le monde – Africa in the World), she initially focused her work on protected areas. In Brazil, she conducted a sociology of collective action by studying the mobilization of local residents within an ecological station. She then turned her attention to the circulation of protected area management models through a sociology of North-South transfers of environmental narratives. Finally, she developed a sociology of the administrative elites responsible for managing national parks in Mozambique. Her current research delves deeper into these issues of the transnational construction of nature policies, using a socio-historical approach to the role of vegetation in urban public policies in Africa. She analyzes these dynamics from the mobilizations of civil society organizations and the private sector to the offices of development agencies in Italy and Switzerland. Through the case of Abidjan, she argues that cities constitute laboratories for original "green" public policies, negotiated within often conflictual local political contexts. With Marie Hrabanski, she is part of a team working on the study of procedural instruments in Côte d'Ivoire, thus extending both her interest in this country and her research on environmental public action.
